A key deliverable within Work Package 3 in the NAATTC is the establishment of a Trial Coordination Unit (TCU), the aim of which is to understand and foster best practice for efficient patient centred Advanced Therapy trial delivery in all NAATTC centres and to share this best practice nationally. The TCU will involve representation from the Clinical Delivery sites within the NAATTC, and will be working closely with clinical working groups across the NAATTC network. The first meeting, held in Newcastle in October, was a great success, with presentations from Newcastle and Leeds Hospital Trusts. The presentations prompted some excellent discussion from the Partner Organisations in attendance around the complexities, potential barriers and opportunities for streamlining ATMP delivery in the NHS. The next meeting is scheduled for November in Edinburgh.
